Foundation Year Accounting, Finance and Economics

The Foundation Year in Accounting, Finance and Economics is designed for students who do not yet meet the entry requirements for direct degree-level study or who are returning to education and require additional support to build confidence. This one-year foundation course serves as an entry route to a full three-year degree in accounting, finance, or economics. Students will develop essential transferable skills in communication, problem-solving, and accounting, taught by the same expert staff who lead the undergraduate degree programmes. The curriculum includes modules on business foundations, academic research, data literacy, and a practical accounting project. Upon successful completion of this foundation year, students progress directly onto their chosen three-year degree. This course is available on a full-time basis at the Hendon campus. It provides a supportive environment for students to master the fundamental concepts required for success in higher education and their future professional careers.
